Our Mission
To nurture confident, versatile, and successful Pilates professionals for the real world.
Our Story
SPRING Movement is more than a Pilates teacher training program. It’s a global community of passionate people united by one mission: changing lives through Pilates. Whether you're just getting started or advancing your teaching career, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Co-founded by physical therapist Talia Williams and East River Pilates’ founder Kimmy Kellum, SPRING was born from a shared vision—to make Pilates education more accessible, inclusive, and grounded in real-world experience.
Many of our students come to Pilates seeking greater purpose and meaning in their work. SPRING was created to support that transition with education, mentorship, and real-world teaching experience. Our programs equip instructors with the knowledge, mentorship, and experience needed to build meaningful careers in Pilates.
Grounded in science and supported by innovative technology, our hybrid learning model is one of the most flexible and empowering formats in the industry. Come as you are, connect with your curiosity, and get ready to cultivate a thriving inclusive community wherever you are in the world!
Welcome to SPRING.
We're so glad you're here.
When we created SPRING, we shared a simple belief: Pilates education should prepare teachers for modern studios and real teaching environments.
We had both seen how powerful Pilates can be when it’s taught with curiosity, compassion, and a deep understanding of the body. At the same time, we knew many training programs didn’t fully prepare instructors for the realities of teaching real people in real studios.
SPRING was born from that experience.
Together, we set out to create a teacher training program grounded in science, shaped by community, and designed to support instructors long after their certification is complete. What began in our Brooklyn studio has grown into a global learning community of educators, students, and movement professionals who are passionate about helping people feel stronger, more connected, and more at home in their bodies.
If you're here, you’re already part of that story. We’re grateful to be part of your journey.
With gratitude,
Talia and Kimmy

Our Core Values
Integrity
We act with honesty, trust, and ethical responsibility in everything we do, always serving the greater good of our community. We take full ownership and responsibility for our actions and are committed to upholding personal and collective accountability at all times.
Accessibility
We believe in making Pilates education accessible to all people, everywhere. We are committed to addressing accessibility barriers in everything we do, including systemic, financial, technological, physical, and communication. We habitually challenge all things with the question, ‘how does this increase accessibility for all?’
Community
We believe in the power of community and genuine connection to the people around us. We honor the opportunity to serve our community and foster a safe space for all people to come as they are and experience a true sense of belonging.
Curiosity
Curiosity is contagious, and we believe it’s the key to creating a safe, engaging, and successful learning environment. Obsessed with cultivating curiosity within ourselves and our community, we’re on a life-long journey of exploration and discovery. We promote inquisitiveness, independent motivation, risk taking, and a learning environment where we nurture a healthy relationship with failure, growth, and success.
